A daily slingshot physics puzzle. Three tries. Real gravity.
GravTrap is a free daily physics puzzle. Every midnight a new planet appears with a gravity strength from 1 to 10 and a mission: land on it, crash into it, skim past its surface, miss it completely, or orbit it and return to Earth. You aim a slingshot and get three tries.
Drag back from the rocket like a slingshot to set the angle and power, then release. Aiming shows only the first moment of the flight — the rest is judgement. Failed rockets stay on screen as ghost trails, so your second and third tries can learn from the first. Lose all three and the game shows you a winning shot.
Each planet has a gravity strength from 1 to 10 that bends every shot. Missing a gravity 9 planet takes almost full power or its pull will drag you in, while crashing into a gravity 1 planet is genuinely hard because almost nothing pulls your rocket toward it. The same mission plays completely differently at different strengths.
Yes. Before a day's puzzle ships, the generator plays thousands of shots across the whole slingshot range and only accepts the day if a reasonable share of them succeed — never too many, never too few. The winning shot it finds is the one replayed for you after a loss.
A new planet arrives at midnight in your local timezone. Everyone in the world gets the same planet, gravity, and mission on the same calendar date, so results are always comparable with friends.
Yes. GravTrap is free, has no ads and needs no account. It runs in any web browser. Your streak and stats are stored on your device, and practice planets never affect them.
