One word a day. Spend little. Brag hard.
Dear Word is a free daily word game where every letter costs coins. Each day all players get the same five-letter word and a bank of 30 coins. Common letters cost more than rare ones, and guessing the full word costs three coins. Every leftover coin banks into your wallet, which can save your streak on days you miss. The score that matters is how few coins you spent.
Buy letters from an A to Z keyboard: a bought letter reveals every position where it appears, or is marked as a miss. At any point you can pay 3 coins to guess the whole word; a wrong guess reveals nothing. Win by revealing the word or guessing it. Coins you did not spend are your score, and every one of them banks into your wallet.
Prices follow how common each letter is: E, A, I, O and T cost 4 coins; N, S, R, H and L cost 3; D, C, U, M, F, P, G, W and Y cost 2; and B, V, K, X, J, Q and Z cost 1 coin. Guessing the full word costs 3 coins.
Your wallet is your savings: every coin you save on a win is banked, and the total has no ceiling. Miss a day and your wallet spends 50 coins to keep your streak alive; if it cannot cover the gap, the streak resets but your savings are untouched. The wallet never buys back a lost puzzle, so a loss is still a loss.
A new puzzle arrives at midnight in your local timezone. Everyone in the world gets the same word on the same calendar date, so scores are always comparable with friends.
